# Wallet limits

> Set an amount per action, a daily cap or no spending cap.

Open a wallet and choose **Change rules** or its spending settings.

| Setting | Meaning |
| - | - |
| Only me | Agents cannot spend from this wallet. |
| Me and my agents | Agents can use it under your Desk mode and wallet rules. |
| Per trade | Maximum value of one action in dollars. |
| Per day | Maximum spending over a rolling 24 hours. |
| No limit | No dollar cap. Your other permissions still apply. |

An EVM wallet's allowance is shared across its supported networks. Moving to another network does not reset it.

Some wallets also support allowed assets and recipients. Choose these in the wallet settings when you want a narrower allowance.

## Limits and approvals are different

**Autonomous** uses the rules you set. **Manual** asks you to approve agent actions. Neither mode lets an agent rewrite your limits to finish a trade.

If an action cannot be measured well enough to enforce your rules, it may need your attention. A price lookup is not a spending authorization.

Direct sends that you submit yourself are owner actions. The limits described here control agent spending.
